- Maintain high housekeeping and 5S standards throughout the CNC department.
- Support first-off inspections, in-process checks, and operator-led quality control.
- Coach operators to consistently follow work instructions, quality procedures, and cleanliness requirements.
Recruitment, Onboarding & Development
- Support recruitment and selection of CNC operators and other departmental staff.
- Lead onboarding and induction processes for all new starters.
- Identify skill gaps and arrange cross-training opportunities.
- Contribute to the creation and upkeep of competency matrices and personal development plans.

Experience & Skills Required
- Previous experience in a CNC machining environment (timber, furniture, or general manufacturing preferred).
- Strong understanding of CNC operations, tooling, and production workflows.
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a production setting.
- Experience in Lean manufacturing and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience in recruitment, onboarding, and team development.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer literacy; experience with production tracking systems (OEE knowledge advantageous).
