Full job description

Big Motoring World Group is an expanding car supermarket group that is going from strength to strength and is looking to employ a Quality Controller at our Preparation Centre Site in Peterborough. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast and progressive moving group as well as working alongside experienced technicians to help and support and your career development.

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 3:00pm

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed inspections of vehicles and components to identify defects and non-conformities.
  • Accurately complete and maintain all quality assurance documentation.
  • Verify that all logged repairs and parts in our internal systems have been completed and flags closed.
  • Polish vehicles to ensure a pristine finish if needed.
  • Must torque check wheel nuts including locking wheel nut key.
  • Conduct final checks to ensure vehicles have been valeted to a high standard, ready for the photobooth.
  • Ensure any defects are rectified before being moved on to the imaging process.
  • Consistently maintain good housekeeping standards and address any shortfalls as needed.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested.

Hold a Full UK Driving Licence - Any job offer that requires driving company vehicles is subject to a DVLA check, and applicants with six or more penalty points or a previous disqualification may not meet our insurance requirements and therefore may not be eligible for employment.
