Full job description

Our client is one of the UK's leading infrastructure contractors, working nationwide on iconic projects and frameworks.

Due to continued successfully delivery of key Southeastern railway frameworks and standalone projects, our client is looking to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join an established commercial team of 8 staff.

As the successful candidate, you will be an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor, able to work independently, with excellent cost control, forecasting and reporting experience.

Senior Quantity Surveyor roles and responsibilities:

You will be responsible for the robust commercial management and reporting of 2-4 projects / packages of a variety of projects. Key deliverables will include:

  • Ownership and responsibility for contract administration for your own projects through to Final Accounts.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely cost reporting and forecasting for the client every 4 weeks and internal reporting.
  • Responsible for the management of Subcontractor accounts, applications and payments.
  • The production of CVR's, cost plans and monitoring cost performance of projects.

Senior Quantity Surveyor requirements:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or construction related qualification with relevant experience.
  • 8+ years Quantity Survey experience within the infrastructure sector, working on Framework contracts or Major Projects, with Network Rail Framework or Major Project experience an advantageous.
  • Excellent cost reporting and forecasting skills are essential.
  • Ability to manage 2-4 projects concurrently.
  • NEC Contracts experience is essential.
  • Good level IT proficiency and a thorough knowledge of cost management software and tools.
