Full job description

I'm currently working with a well-regarded construction consultancy in London that’s actively looking to bring in a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support their growing infrastructure portfolio.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced QS to step into a consultancy role that offers real client exposure, high-impact projects, and the chance to work alongside industry leaders on some of the UK’s most ambitious infrastructure schemes.

Whether you’re looking for more strategic involvement, better progression, or a healthier work-life balance, this role ticks all the boxes.

What makes this opportunity stand out?

· Flagship Infrastructure Projects – You'll be commercially managing projects across rail, highways, energy, and utilities, many as part of long-term frameworks with blue-chip clients.

· Consultancy Role, Strategic Focus – Less boots-on-the-ground, more high-level commercial leadership. You’ll be trusted to represent clients from feasibility through to final account.

· Career Path to Associate – This consultancy has a clear, structured development pathway with support for those aiming for chartered status or looking to take that next step in seniority.

· Flexible, Modern Working – Hybrid setup (typically 2–3 days in the London office or on client sites) with a real focus on output over hours.

Ideal Background:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Quantity Surveying (consultancy or contractor background welcome)
  • Proven track record in infrastructure projects – particularly rail, highways, utilities, or civils
  • Experience with NEC3/4 contracts
  • Strong commercial acumen and client-facing communication skills
  • MRICS or working towards (support provided if required)

Package:

  • Competitive basic salary
  • Car allowance, bonus scheme, and enhanced pension
  • Hybrid/flexible working
  • Ongoing CPD and genuine progression opportunities
