Full job description
We are looking for a QA to join the team, responsible for assisting with the implementation of all Food Safety, Quality and Hygiene procedures. Supporting the site in operating at the highest possible standards in Food Safety and producing excellent quality products at all time.
Hours of Work and Pay
- Monday to Friday
- 40 hours per week
- 7am to 3pm
- £13.76 per hour
- £550.40 per week
- Weekly pay
- Paid rest breaks (2 x 30 minutes)
- Authorised overtime (paid at time & half) is required occasionally to cover holidays
- 6 weeks holidays per year including Bank Hols (holiday pay calculated using 12 month’s average earnings)
- Level 2 Food Safety training provided

Key Responsibilties
- Assist with the implementation and monitoring of all Food Safety, Quality and Hygiene Procedures
- Raising purchase orders
- Micro sampling of products and data collation/analysis/investigation, carrying out environmental swabbing
- Product, People & Process, IFS and BRC audits
- Product quality assessment and Quality Improvement, check that product is being made to the specified process standards
- Raw material quality assessment
- Conduct audits and verify paperwork (hygiene, glass, H&S, traceability, process control, CCP’s etc)
- Use of monitoring devices e.g. temperatures probes, data loggers for routine checking to obtain information on production environment and product temperatures
- Report any non-conforming products/processes to relevant Department Manager and monitor and ensure appropriate action is taken within agreed time frames.
- Checking of product labelling.
- Develop a tour ready culture and standards
- Checking of product quality attributes, organoleptic, piece counts, visual standards.
- Adhere to all Company policies, procedures, training and ensure adherence to all Health and Safety and Hygiene rules.
*Full pay company maternity pay from 16 to 28 weeks depending on length of service
*2 weeks full paid paternity leave (must qualify for statutory paternity leave for full paid leave)
