Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and dedicated Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional food and service. This role involves overseeing food preparation, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained. Duties

• Lead and supervise the kitchen team, ensuring efficient food production and service
• Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards
• Oversee food safety procedures, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within the kitchen
• Manage inventory, order supplies, and control stock levels to minimise waste
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment
• Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
• Develop new menu items in line with current culinary trends and customer preferences
• Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation to uphold high standards
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within hospitality or restaurant sectors
• Supervising experience with demonstrated leadership capabilities
• Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques
• Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Team management skills with an emphasis on training and motivating staff
• Experience in menu development and culinary innovation
• Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and management
• Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is highly desirable
