Brickfab is a private manufacturing business based in Pontypool, South Wales and Stoke on Trent. Due to the continued growth of Brick Fabrication and the increased demand for our products we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Brick Cutter/Bonder, available for immediate start, to join the busy brick cutting/bonding team at our Pontypool site.

Job Purpose:

Reporting to the Cut or Bond Team Leader you will be primarily working in the brick cutting room responsible for cutting bricks to varying widths and angles in a safe manner whilst achieving daily targets. The role will also provide cover to brick bonding and other departments to meet production demands.

The Position

· Work to deadline for daily production targets

· Produce products to high quality standards

· Maintain safe and clean working area

· Wear correct and appropriate PPE for the department

The Person

· Experience of working in a busy production environment

· Experience of cutting bricks, from within construction or building sectors

· Experience of operating a hand operated brick cutting saw

· Experience of basic maintenance of modern machinery

· Resilient to working in a noisy brick cutting department

· Resilient to working in wet and cold conditions

· Reliable with an excellent attendance record

· Able to work with little supervision following initial training and induction

· Knowledge of Health & Safety and safe working practices

· Flexible, as will be required to work in different departments

The Package
