Assistant Shop Manager

Job Role Brief

We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and hands-on Assistant Shop Manager to support the day-to-day running of our cafe bakery.

Working closely with the Shop Manager, you will help ensure smooth operations, excellent customer service and a welcoming environment for both customers and team members. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys hospitality, takes pride in their work and is looking to develop their management skills within a growing business.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day running of front of house operations
• Lead shifts and supervise the team in the absence of the Shop Manager
• Help train and support new and existing team members
• Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve customer queries professionally
• Assist with stock control, ordering, deliveries and daily reporting
• Help maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety and operational procedures
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company policies
• Support the implementation of new initiatives and promotions
• Work closely with the Founder and Shop Manager to deliver the reemies customer experience
• Assist with opening and closing procedures

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Previous experience in a café, bakery, coffee shop or hospitality environment
• Experience supervising a team or taking responsibility during shifts
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• A positive, proactive and reliable attitude
• A friendly and outgoing personality with a passion for customer service
• The ability to remain calm and efficient in a fast-paced environment
• A genuine passion for quality food and hospitality
• A desire to grow and develop within an ambitious business
• Food Hygiene Certificate preferred

What We Offer

• 4- 5 days a week shift

Pay: £27,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
