Role Overview

We are now looking for a passionate Pastry Chef for our production site in Hayes (UB3).

As Pastry Chef, you will support the production of our delicious cakes, cookies and other baked goods during overnight shifts.

You will be working 5 days per week between 21:00pm and 6:00am.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and production of pastries, desserts, and baked goods following established recipes.
  • Operate and monitor commercial bakery equipment.
  • Ensure production targets are met within designated timeframes for wholesale distribution.
  • Maintain consistent product quality, portioning, appearance, and taste across large batches.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop new recipes and improve existing ones.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or Baker in a high-volume or manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of of pastry techniques, dough handling, and large-batch production.
  • Ability to follow standardised recipes and production specifications precisely.
  • Familiarity with commercial bakery equipment and overnight production workflows.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Team player with good communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work any day of the week.

Nice-to-Have

  • Culinary school diploma or equivalent baking certification.
