Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Solar PV Installer to join our renewable energy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing photovoltaic solar systems on various sites, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project specifications. Duties

• Install solar photovoltaic panels and associated electrical components on rooftops, ground mounts, or other structures.
• Use hand tools and power tools to secure mounting systems, wiring, and panels accurately and safely.
• Operate heavy machinery such as excavators when required for site preparation or foundation work.
• Perform welding tasks for mounting structures or electrical connections as needed.
• Conduct site assessments to determine optimal placement of solar panels and ensure structural integrity.
• Collaborate with team members to complete installations efficiently while adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Inspect completed installations for quality assurance and troubleshoot any issues that arise during or after installation.
• Maintain organised work areas, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.

Skills

• Experience with excavators, welding, hand tools, and power tools is highly desirable.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Electrical experience or background is advantageous for understanding wiring and system connections.
• Ability to work at heights safely and comfortably on rooftops or elevated structures.
• Good organisational skills with attention to detail in completing installation tasks accurately.
• Physical fitness to handle manual labour, including lifting heavy components and working in various weather conditions.
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and clients as required. Pay: £24,420.00-£59,385.95 per year
