About the Role

We are seeking an ambitious, results-driven Head of Lead Generation to lead and develop our outbound lead generation function across our Telecoms, IT Services, and Web Design divisions.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring someone who can both lead from the front and manage a high-performing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for recruiting, training, motivating, and developing a team of Lead Generation Executives while actively contributing to appointment setting and business development activities themselves.

The role will focus on generating qualified appointments for our field and internal sales teams across Northern Ireland, Scotland, and the Republic of Ireland, ensuring a consistent pipeline of opportunities and driving month-on-month growth.

Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Management

  • Recruit, onboard, train, and develop a high-performing lead generation team.
  • Set clear individual and team KPIs focused on activity, appointments, opportunities, and revenue contribution.
  • Conduct regular coaching sessions, performance reviews, and call listening exercises.
  • Create a positive, motivated, and competitive team culture.
  • Identify skills gaps and implement training plans to improve performance.

Lead Generation & Appointment Setting

  • Personally generate appointments and opportunities through outbound calling and prospecting.
  • Lead by example through daily outbound activity and high standards of prospect engagement.
  • Generate qualified appointments for Telecoms, IT, and Web Design sales consultants.
  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline through effective prospecting techniques.
  • Develop and refine outreach strategies to maximise conversion rates.

Performance & Data Analysis

  • Monitor and analyse key performance metrics including:
  • Calls made
  • Contact rates
  • Appointment conversion rates
  • Sales conversion performance
  • Team productivity
  • Produce weekly and monthly performance reports.
  • Use data insights to improve campaign effectiveness and team performance.
  • Forecast lead generation performance and identify growth opportunities.

Campaign & Territory Management

  • Manage outbound campaigns across:
  • Northern Ireland
  • Scotland
  • Republic of Ireland
  • Work closely with Sales and Marketing teams to align lead generation activities with business objectives.
  • Ensure accurate CRM management and data quality.
  • Identify new market opportunities and target sectors.

Growth & Strategy

  • Develop and implement lead generation strategies that drive consistent month-on-month growth.
  • Continuously improve processes, scripts, messaging, and campaign effectiveness.
  • Stay informed on industry trends within Telecoms, IT Services, and Digital/Web Design markets.
  • Contribute to overall business growth plans and revenue targets.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Number of qualified appointments generated.
  • Team appointment targets achieved.
  • Outbound activity levels.
  • Appointment-to-sale conversion rates.

Skills & Experience RequiredEssential

  • Proven experience in a lead generation, telesales, business development, or appointment-setting leadership role.
  • Experience managing and developing high-performing outbound sales teams.
  • Strong telephone sales and prospecting skills.
  • Demonstrable success in achieving and exceeding lead generation targets.
  • Experience using CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and motivational skills.
  • Ability to lead from the front and actively participate in prospecting activities.

Desirable

  • Experience within Telecoms, IT Services, Managed Services, SaaS, or Digital/Web Design sectors.
  • Knowledge of B2B sales cycles and appointment setting.
  • Experience operating across UK and Irish markets.
  • Understanding of sales and marketing alignment strategies.
