Barista

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have an interest in health and fitness and will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages in a fast-paced environment. This role will focus on supporting the day-to-day experience within the wellness space. This will include helping maintain a clean and organised environment, warmly welcoming and assisting members, ensuring everything runs smoothly, and contributing to a positive, relaxed atmosphere while maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the cafe.

l customers Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, adhering to company recipes and standards.
• Handle customer orders efficiently while providing friendly and attentive service.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the work area in compliance with food safety regulations.
• Assist with food preparation tasks as required, including handling baked goods or snacks.
• Manage cash register operations accurately, including taking payments and giving change.
• Restock supplies and ensure all equipment is functioning properly throughout the shift.
• Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers.
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to minimise wait times and optimise customer satisfaction.

Experience

• Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar customer service role is desirable but not essential.
• Knowledge of food safety standards is advantageous.
• Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced setting is preferred.
• Basic skills in food preparation are beneficial.
• Ability to perform basic maths accurately for cash handling purposes.
• Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy periods.
