Job Title: Finance Manager

Location: Hybrid/Remote (must be able to attend our Milton Keynes offices at least once per month)
Department: Finance
Reports To: Financial Controller
Industry: Information Technology

About the Role

We’re seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our growing Managed IT Servicesbusiness. You’ll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance, and providing insight that supports data-driven decision-making across the company.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a structured, fast-moving environment and has a passion for numbers, processes, and technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Manage general ledger accounting and reconciliations for multiple service contracts.
  • Process and analyse accounts payable, accounts receivable, and supplier invoices.
  • Support revenue recognition for recurring service contracts and project-based billing.
  • Prepare management reports, variance analysis, and cash flow forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with audit, tax, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Partner with operations to track project profitability and cost allocations.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation in accounting workflows.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified or part-qualified preferred).
  • Previous experience as a Financial Accountant — ideally in Managed IT Services, MSP, or technology-based environments.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, NetSuite, Sage, or similar) and strong Excel skills.
  • Understanding of deferred revenue, cost of service delivery, and recurring billing models.
  • Good knowledge of accounting standards and financial controls.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
