Job Overview
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Event Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for handmade jewellery and a strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service. This position requires strong communication, organisational, and time management skills to ensure the smooth running of our market stalls and events.
Responsibilities
- Assist with setting up and packing down the market stall
- Provide excellent customer service and product knowledge
- Help maintain an organised and visually appealing stall
- Handle cash and card transactions
- Assist with stock management and inventory tracking
- Ensure a smooth, efficient operation throughout the day.
Requirements
- Friendly, approachable, and confident with customers
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Demonstrated time management abilities to meet deadlines effectively
- Basic maths skills for processing transactions and managing cash registers
- Previous experience in event planning or customer service is advantageous
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules
- Passion for handmade jewellery and the Manimu brand
- A driving licence is required as there are various market locations
