Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our brane new nusrery setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your management and leadership skills while making a positive impact on children's lives. Applicants should have relevant nursery experience and a strong commitment to early childhood education.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organise, and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development in line with early childhood education standards
- Supervise and support children during playtime, mealtimes, and rest periods, ensuring their safety at all times
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication
- Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming nursery environment
- Support the implementation of nursery policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Assist in the assessment of children's progress and contribute to their individual development plans
- Lead by example in demonstrating excellent childcare practices and management skills
- Contribute to team meetings and ongoing professional development sessions
- Occasionally assist with driving duties for nursery outings or staff transportation as required
Skills
- Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early childhood setting
- Strong management and leadership abilities to guide both children and team members effectively
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to build rapport with children, parents, and colleagues
- Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education frameworks
- Ability to organise activities that cater to diverse learning needs and interests
- Compassionate, patient, and nurturing approach to childcare
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
- Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting children or staff when necessary
