Overview
We are looking for a confident and customer-focused Supervisor to lead our cafe team and ensure smooth, efficient and friendly service during busy daytime operations. You’ll be responsible for supporting the team, maintaining service standards, and helping to create a welcoming atmosphere for customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations to ensure smooth and professional service
- Lead by example, assisting with order taking, serving and clearing
- Support, train, and motivate the FOH team to deliver excellent customer service
- Manage staff breaks and task delegation to maintain workflow and coverage
- Handle customer feedback and resolve any issues promptly and professionally
- Liaise with the kitchen team to ensure effective communication and timely service
- Oversee the overall cleanliness, presentation and atmosphere of the cafe at all times
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and end of day reporting
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety , Hygiene and Licensing regulations
Requirements
- Previous experience in a supervisory/management role, ideally in a busy cafe or restaurant
-Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Passion for customer service with a proactive and positive attitude
- Ability to stay calm and efficient under pressure
- Good working knowledge of till systems and handling cash/card transactions
- Flexibility to work across weekdays and weekends as the position requires
