BBF Ltd is one of the UK’s leading ambient cake manufacturers of retailer own label, licensed and branded cakes, supplying recognisable retailers across the UK and European market. We are passionate about our products and aim to put the customer at the heart of everything we do. We are currently looking for two Senior Team Leaders to join our Zone 2 and Zone 3 teams in Hull.

Vacancy 1 - Monday to Friday, 06:00 - 14:00 shift

Vacancy 2 - Weekend shift, Friday 06:00 - 14:00, Saturday and Sunday 05:00 - 17:00 - This shift has an additional weekly payment of £86.54

Purpose of the Role

To manage, coach, communicate and develop their direct reports to achieve the day to day running of the business.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Deliver your key targets including but not limited to: customer service levels, product quality and specification, waste management, clean as you go, holiday cover, daily manning, completion of process and production control documentation, accident levels plus any additional areas as identified by the company.
  • Plan, co-ordinate, delegate, monitor and motivate colleagues to achieve the production plan by maximizing the efficiency of the skill base available.
  • Promote good working practices and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures by colleagues and contractors (taking appropriate action where necessary).
  • Identify colleagues requiring training and source appropriate solutions through line management and HR Department.
  • Quality monitoring, deviance reporting and escalation of issues as per company policy
  • To effectively communicate with colleagues and line management as required
  • Ensure stock accuracy at all times.
  • To take part in root cause investigations, provide accurate details of running conditions/issues and actively participate in the follow up action planning where required.
  • Ensuring that a safe working environment exists and that as a minimum the department meets the standards set out in the SHE Policy and by the Site Health & Safety Manager.
  • Ensuring that Food Safety legislation and guidelines are adhered to
  • To undertake any other reasonable duties as required

Experience and Qualifications

  • Must have at least 2 years production experience preferably in a food environment.
  • Level 2 food safety
  • Level 2 health and safety
  • Sound IT knowledge base
