Role Overview
We are now looking for a passionate Pastry Chef for our production site in Hayes (UB3).
As Pastry Chef, you will support the production of our delicious cakes, cookies and other baked goods in a fast-paced commercial bakery environment.
You will be working 5 days per week between 07:00am and 16:00pm, or between 08:00am and 17:00pm.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and production of pastries, desserts, and baked goods following established recipes.
- Assist with daily wholesale production to meet volume requirements and delivery schedules.
- Monitor ingredient quality, stock levels, and preparation processes.
- Operate and monitor commercial bakery equipment.
- Maintain consistent product quality, portioning, appearance, and taste across large batches.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the team to develop new recipes and improve existing ones.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or Baker in a high-volume or manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrable knowledge of of pastry techniques, dough handling, and large-batch production.
- Ability to follow standardised recipes and production specifications precisely.
- Familiarity with commercial bakery equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Flexibility to work any day of the week.
Nice-to-Have
- Culinary school diploma or equivalent baking certification.
