Role Overview

We are now looking for a passionate Pastry Chef for our production site in Hayes (UB3).

As Pastry Chef, you will support the production of our delicious cakes, cookies and other baked goods in a fast-paced commercial bakery environment.

You will be working 5 days per week between 07:00am and 16:00pm, or between 08:00am and 17:00pm.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and production of pastries, desserts, and baked goods following established recipes.
  • Assist with daily wholesale production to meet volume requirements and delivery schedules.
  • Monitor ingredient quality, stock levels, and preparation processes.
  • Operate and monitor commercial bakery equipment.
  • Maintain consistent product quality, portioning, appearance, and taste across large batches.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Follow food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop new recipes and improve existing ones.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or Baker in a high-volume or manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of of pastry techniques, dough handling, and large-batch production.
  • Ability to follow standardised recipes and production specifications precisely.
  • Familiarity with commercial bakery equipment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Team player with good communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work any day of the week.

Nice-to-Have

  • Culinary school diploma or equivalent baking certification.
