Customer Service & Sales Support Representative
Company: Boards Direct
Location: Wilford Industrial Estate, South Nottingham
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Based at Wilford Industrial Estate in South Nottingham, we are a growing business with a strong reputation for reliability, quality, and customer support. We are now looking for a motivated Customer Service & Sales Support Representative to join our team.
Overview of the Role
This role combines customer service, order processing, and inbound sales support. You will act as a key point of contact for customers, handling enquiries, processing orders, managing returns, and ensuring a smooth customer experience from initial contact through to delivery and after-sales support.
This is a varied and fast-paced role suited to someone who is organised, proactive, IT literate, and confident communicating with customers and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle customer enquiries via telephone and email in a professional and timely manner
- Process customer purchase orders accurately and efficiently
- Manage customer enquiries and cases through the company ticket management system
- Provide product information, pricing, availability, and quotations
- Identify and convert inbound sales opportunities where appropriate
- Manage customer orders from receipt through to completion and delivery
- Process returns, exchanges, and after-sales enquiries in line with company procedures
- Liaise with suppliers regarding stock availability, lead times, deliveries, and product information
- Maintain accurate customer, order, and case records within company systems
- Resolve customer issues promptly, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction
- Work closely with internal teams including sales, purchasing, and warehouse operations
- Support continuous improvement in customer service processes
Skills and ExperienceEssential
- Previous experience in customer service, sales support, order processing, or administration
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Professional telephone manner and customer-focused approach
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Confident using computer systems and learning new software
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment
Desirable
- Experience in inbound sales or account support
- Experience processing purchase orders and managing returns
- Experience using ticketing systems or e-commerce back-office/order systems
- Experience liaising with suppliers and managing stock enquiries
- Background in distribution, wholesale, manufacturing, or e-commerce environments

Working Arrangements
