Overview
ISG Security is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Event Control Room Operator to join our team at The O2 London. The ideal candidate will have experience in CCTV operations and possess excellent communication skills. You will be responsible for monitoring CCTV footage during events, liaising with venue managers and front-of-house managers, and ensuring the safety and security of the venue. This role involves working shifts that align with event schedules, typically between midday and midnight. Full training will be provided.
Duties
- CCTV Monitoring: Operate and monitor CCTV systems to ensure the safety and security of all event attendees, staff, and the venue.
- Incident Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed incident reports, ensuring all security breaches, suspicious activities, or emergencies are documented and communicated promptly.
- Liaison with Management: Work closely with venue managers, front-of-house managers, and supervisors at arena entrances to coordinate security efforts and manage crowd control.
- Communication: Use digital radio systems effectively to communicate with team members and management, ensuring timely and clear information exchange.
- Attention to Detail: Maintain vigilance and attention to detail while monitoring live CCTV footage to quickly identify and respond to potential issues.
- Compliance and Training: Follow all security protocols and procedures as outlined in training. Participate in ongoing training and development sessions to stay updated on best practices and new technologies.
Skills
- MUST have valid SIA CCTV license
- Proven experience as a CCTV operator or in a similar surveillance role.
- Strong communication skills, particularly in using digital radio systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to remain focused for extended periods.
- Ability to use a computer to fill out concise and detailed incident reports.
- Availability to work flexible shifts based on event schedules, including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution.
Preferred Qualifications:
- SIA door supervisor license
- Previous experience in a large event venue or similar environment.
- Knowledge of security protocols and emergency procedures.
