Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Senior Pastry Chef to join our dynamic team at Reemies Cakes in North Acton. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in baking with strong skills in frosting.
As a Senior Pastry Chef (Baker), you will play a crucial role in creating high-quality baked goods that meet our standards of excellence while ensuring a smooth operation within the kitchen environment.
Duties
- Prepare and bake a variety of cakes and other baked goods according to established recipes and specifications for our shop and customers
- Oversee the daily operations of the baking section, ensuring all products are prepared and presented to the highest standards.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene practices throughout the kitchen.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan and execute production schedules effectively.
- Experiment with new recipes and techniques to enhance our product offerings while maintaining consistency in quality.
Skills
- Proficient in food preparation techniques with a strong background in baking.
- Strong skills in frosting cakes
- Knowledgeable about food safety standards and best practices in food production.
- Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen and production kitchen
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating leadership qualities.
