- Assist in engagement, emotional regulation, and adapting to the changing needs of the individual you are supporting
- Collaborate with tutors, therapists, and the wider team to ensure the provision is delivered as per the young person's EHCP
- Accompany the student on outings and to community-based activities as required
- Support learning through interest-based and therapeutic approaches, using a child-led approach
What we are looking for:
- Experience supporting children with ADHD, ASD, and PDA
- Familiarity with child-led and low-arousal approaches
- Willingness to work flexibly as part of a team and communicate clearly with colleagues and family
- Comfortable working in a home-based and community setting
Essential criteria:
- 2+ years experience as an LSA/TA or in a similar child-facing support role
- Clear Enhanced DBS (preferably on the Update Service)
- Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle, non-drivers should not apply
Desirable criteria:
- Minimum of a Level 1 Safeguarding qualification
- Training in low-arousal and trauma-informed approaches
- Experience in EOTAS, alternative provision, or home education environments
- First Aid Training
