Quantity Surveyor – Carpentry / Interior Fit-Out

Location: Essex / East London
Salary: £60,000 – £80,000 DOE

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a long-established specialist subcontractor operating within the carpentry, joinery and interior fit-out sector.

The business has been operating successfully for decades and delivers a wide range of commercial and high-end interior projects across London and the South East. They have built strong relationships with major contractors and continue to secure repeat business across multiple sectors.

This role would ideally suit someone who either comes from a carpentry/joinery background or has strong commercial experience working on carpentry and fit-out packages.

The Role

• Managing commercial aspects of multiple live projects
• Producing valuations, variations and final accounts
• Procurement of subcontractors and materials
• Cost reporting and forecasting
• Working closely with operational and site teams
• Client and contractor liaison throughout project lifecycle
• Supporting projects from pre-construction through to handover

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction
• Experience with carpentry, joinery or interior fit-out packages
• Good understanding of commercial management and cost control
• Ability to manage projects independently
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Relevant qualifications preferred but not essential with the right experience

• £60,000 – £80,000 depending on experience
