Womankind Clinic is an award-winning beauty salon located in the vibrant, trendy area of Stockbridge, Edinburgh, within Charlie Miller Hairdressers.

Established in 2006, the business has grown to be one of Edinburgh’s finest beauty centres. The innovative team have big plans to grow and expand their offerings. This is an exciting time to join the team, with lots of potential and opportunities.

We are looking for a receptionist to work Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and every second Saturday. We would love a well-presented, warm, welcoming, and highly organised individual who can multitask under pressure and prioritise tasks to support the teams and run reception at Original Salon and Womankind @ Charlie Miller using Salon IQ. Excellent customer service skills are essential for this role.

Excellent organisational and self-management skills are highly desirable for this role, and basic skills in general administration and running a reception, including answering calls, emails and online comments, dealing with appointments, welcoming clients into the salon, dealing with consultation forms, offering refreshments, taking payments, stock and order management and keeping the reception area organised and well maintained.

A successful candidate should have a keen interest in the beauty and fashion sector. Ideally, they should have experience creating video content across multiple platforms for advertising, social, and training purposes.

List of duties desirable to the role-

  • Photographing, writing, editing and publishing marketing adverts, articles and other written content.
  • Creating captivating content for the organisation’s social media sites, which may include writing blogs, articles, posts and multimedia content.

The role will require some housekeeping duties, such as cleaning treatment rooms and general areas, to support end-of-shift and preparation for the following working day.

Please note that we will provide basic knowledge and training on our menu and our systems.
