Solicitor

Modern Legal Firm | (Hybrid) - small Claims

£60,000 - 65,000 DOE + genuine work-life balance

We’re working with a modern and relxed law firm that prioritises quality over box-ticking. No micromanagement, no vanity KPIs, and no wandering egos. Just proper legal work, decent tech and a culture that cares far more about results than theatrics.

You’ll take full ownership of your caseload, running matters from pre-action through to enforcement. It’s hands-on litigation with the autonomy to actually get things done, not sit around waiting for someone’s sign-off.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Managing a varied caseload of small claims and debt recovery matters from start to finish
  • Applying CPR, pre-action protocols, and case management principles with confidence
  • Drafting particulars of claim, witness statements, defences, and court bundles
  • Conducting advocacy at small claims hearings where appropriate
  • Liaising directly with clients, maintaining strong communication and trust
  • Using Proclaim (or similar case management systems) to manage workflow efficiently

You’ll bring:

  • Qualification as a Solicitor / CILEX / FILEX (or equivalent)
  • Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members
  • PQE in debt recovery or small claims litigation
  • Strong knowledge of civil procedure rules, costs, and enforcement
  • Excellent drafting and analytical skills
  • Confidence working independently in a fast-paced environment
  • An interest in working with modern legal tech and continuous process improvement

Nice to have (but not essential):

  • Familiarity with team coordination or workflow planning
  • A decent sense of humour and a collaborative approach
