Your role as a Shift Manager is to support the Store and Senior Management team to ensure that the store is run efficiently and in accordance with the company policies and procedures. You will be responsible for the running of shifts, including opening and closing, training and development of new and existing staff and leading the team in all aspects of customer service and standards. As a Shift Manager you will be put onto a training programme and this will be completed within 3 months on basic salary. Once you have reached successful completion of your training you will receive a back payment (up to 6 weeks) to compensate for your hard work. If you have previous relevant experience you may be entitled to receive the enhanced rate from day one.

Purpose of the Role

  • Effective time management skills ensuring all customer orders are processed correctly and efficiently
  • Full adherence to the company Food Safety and Allergens policies
  • Organisation of daily administrative tasks
  • Possess a variety of communication skills to communicate at all levels
  • Possess a clear and confident telephone manner
  • Ability to stay calm, polite and professional under all circumstances
  • Ability to deal with customer queries effectively at all times
  • Support the store in the general running and housekeeping Key Accountabilities
  • Key Holder (out of hours responses required)
  • Adhere to correct opening and closing procedures
  • Management support in all aspects of the daily running of the store as required including, but not limited to, Labour, Food Costs, Wastage, and Payroll
  • Maintaining Store Standards in accordance with Company Guidelines
  • Effective Management of the Food Preparation area in accordance with Health And Safety, and Food Safety Guidelines
  • Support in the training and development of existing team members.
  • Support in the recruitment and training of new starters
  • Ensuring Food orders are completed correctly and on time
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the team including Area and All Manager at Head Office
  • Quality checking products and ensuring that the correct dating procedure is followed Skill Requirements
  • Integrity & Confidentiality
  • Ability to build strong working relationships locally and UK wide
  • Good communication and listening skills
  • Good organisational skills used in planning own work
  • Calm and professional disposition
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet targets and deadlines
  • Able to work in a busy Store environment that often demands high levels of concentration
  • Able to respond effectively to changing priorities
  • Customer Service Experience

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 7.5 per week
