Conveyancing Fee Earner

Manchester

About the Role:

A respected top 200 UK law firm is looking for a skilled Residential Property Fee Earner/Conveyancer to join their Residential Conveyancing team. This role requires an experienced conveyancer to manage all aspects of client property transactions independently, while supporting business development and firm growth. Ideal candidates will have a passion for client service and experience in achieving fee income targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle conveyancing files autonomously, ensuring compliance with Lexcel and SRA standards.
  • Generate fee income, maintaining targets for time recording, billing, and collections.
  • Take part in business development and marketing activities, fostering strong client and professional relationships.
  • Supervise and assist other fee earners as needed, including during absences or holidays.
  • Prepare, manage, and file documents using the firm’s case management system.
  • Maintain professional client interactions in person, over the phone, and in writing.
  • Attend and contribute to group meetings, supporting team success and client satisfaction.

Candidate Profile:

  • Qualified conveyancer or paralegal with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in case management systems, Microsoft Office, and client communication.
  • Team-oriented, organized, and committed to high standards of client care.
  • Competent with company sales and purchases, some commercial experience is an advantage.
  • The ability to deal with the following without supervision, shared ownership sales and purchases, newbuilds, transfer of equity, adverse possession, transfer of part and remortgages.
  • A team player.
