Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and creative Cake Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for decorating and an eye for detail, capable of transforming cakes into stunning works of art. This role involves working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, where you will utilise your culinary skills to create beautifully decorated cakes for various occasions.

Duties

  • Decorate cakes using various techniques, including buttercream
  • Prepare and bake cakes from scratch, ensuring high standards of quality and taste.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of other baked goods as needed.
  • Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and communicate needs to management.
  • Stay updated on current trends in cake decorating and baking techniques.
  • Work from our Manchester facility for 21 days in a calendar month (9 hours each day).

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in food production and preparation, specifically in baking and cake decorating.
  • Strong culinary skills with a background in kitchen or restaurant experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential.
  • Level 2 or 3 Food Safety Certificate
  • Ability to write in clean Calligraphy on cakes
  • Excellent attention to detail and creativity in design work.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.

Job Type: Full-time
