Full job description

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Retail Manager to oversee daily operations within our retail store. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, excellent sales and customer service expertise, and a passion for driving business performance. This role involves managing staff, maintaining store standards, overseeing inventory, and ensuring an exceptional shopping experience for customers. The successful applicant will play a key role in building a positive team culture and achieving operational and sales excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise, and motivate retail staff to ensure smooth daily store operations
  • Oversee sales activities and ensure targets and KPIs are consistently met
  • Manage staff scheduling, task delegation, and performance monitoring
  • Ensure excellent customer service standards are upheld at all times
  • Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and issues professionally and efficiently
  • Oversee inventory control, stock replenishment, and loss prevention
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and visual merchandising standards
  • Train and develop staff in sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer service best practices
  • Monitor store appearance, cleanliness, and product displays
  • Assist in planning promotions, sales campaigns, and merchandising strategies to drive foot traffic and revenue

Experience

  • Proven supervisory or management experience in a retail environment
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire diverse teams
  • Excellent customer service and sales skills
  • Experience in inventory management and stock control
  • Ability to analyze sales performance and implement improvement strategies
  • Previous experience as a store manager, assistant manager, or retail supervisor preferred
  • Familiarity with POS systems and retail operations is an advantage
