JOB TITLE: Business Development Manager

JOB REFERENCE: BDMRV 1/26

HOURS: Full Time

LOCATION: Roe Valley Resort

SALARY RANGE: £40,000 per annum

About Roe Valley:

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive Business Development Manager to drive growth for Roe Valley Resort. The role is dedicated to generating new business and building strong relationships within the Roe Valley, Limavady, and the wider North West region. The successful candidate will be responsible for increasing local market share, raising the profile of Roe Valley Resort, and ensuring the resort is the first choice for local businesses, community groups, and leisure guests.

Experience in hospitality is preferred, but a proven track record in sales, local knowledge, and a passion for connecting with the community are essential.

The main duties include but are not limited to;

Business Development & Sales Execution

· Identify, target, and convert new business opportunities for Roe Valley Resort, with a strong focus on the local and regional market (Roe Valley, Limavady, North West NI).

· Build and manage relationships with local businesses, community groups, sports clubs, and tourism bodies to promote Roe Valley Resort.

· Represent Roe Valley Resort at local trade shows, networking events, and client meetings.

· Plan and deliver a proactive sales schedule of outbound activity, familiarisation trips, and lead generation to grow local market share and brand visibility.

· Manage and grow the Roe Valley Resort Perks Card scheme, including local partnerships, digital rollout, and user engagement.

· Develop and maintain a sponsorship database for local clubs and organisations, including activation plans and ROI tracking.

Sales Strategy and Reporting

· Contribute to the creation and execution of the annual sales strategy with clearly defined KPIs for the local area.

· Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline opportunities, and conversion rates using CRM tools.

· Provide regular reporting, insight, and feedback to support revenue forecasting and strategic decisions, with a focus on local business trends.

Client Engagement and Conversion

· Deliver exceptional client experiences from enquiry through to handover, working collaboratively with internal teams to develop compelling, bespoke proposals for local clients.

· Plan and host familiarisation visits and site inspections to showcase Roe Valley Resort, with a focus on converting qualified local leads into bookings.

· Promote upselling opportunities across accommodation, spa, dining, golf, and wellness to maximise revenue per group.

Collaboration and Communication

· Work closely with the wider sales, events, revenue, and marketing teams to align campaigns, offers, and pricing to local market conditions.

· Collaborate with local and regional tourism bodies (e.g., Visit Derry, Tourism NI) to maximise exposure and leverage opportunities for Roe Valley Resort.

· Actively share market feedback, trends, and competitor insights from the local area to help inform the broader commercial strategy.

The Person:

The ideal candidate will:

- Have a strong understanding of the Roe Valley, Limavady, and North West NI market.

- Be commercially driven, results-focused, and confident in managing their own workload to meet and exceed agreed KPIs and business goals.

- Demonstrate strong analytical thinking, excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), and a proactive, solutions-led mindset.

- Be highly motivated, competitive, and have a genuine passion for connecting with local clients, understanding their needs, and presenting relevant opportunities within Roe Valley Resort.

- Thrive in a fast-paced sales environment and be comfortable representing the brand locally and regionally.

Essential Criteria, applicants must have;

· Minimum 2 years’ experience in a sales, business development, or client-facing role (hospitality, tourism, or events experience preferred).

· Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and KPIs.

· Strong understanding of the Roe Valley, Limavady, and North West NI region.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM tools (e.g., Maestro, Monday.com)
