Full job description

Responsibilities of our Activity Coordinator team member:-

  • We place our residents at the heart of all that we do.
  • Our Activity Coordinators plan, organise and carry out group and one-to-one activities for all the residents in the home.
  • Liaise with other staff in the home and contribute to the general care of the residents.
  • Liaise with families and outside organisations to plan and involve them in activities.
  • Being a friend to the residents; being there to listen to them, support them and enable them to live the life they want to live. Plan and carry out fundraising activities.
  • We harness an open culture of acceptance, learning and development. No experience is required as we provide quality training and opportunities for you to progress.

Requirements of a Activity Coordinator Team member:-

  • To be kind and compassionate with a positive can do attitude. Assisting our vulnerable residents should be a natural instinct.
  • Be organised and able to plan activities and promote on the weekly planners.
  • Help to maintain a safe, supportive and respectful environment within our homes.
  • To be honest.
  • To have the ability to work independently and part of a team.
  • Excellent communications skills.

  • The job involves working at Lonsdale Nursing Home, Albert Street, Barrow in Furness, LA14 2JB.
  • 37.5 hours per week.
  • As with all our positions, the post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check, paid for by us.
