Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-driven Roof Tiling Estimator to join our growing team. This role is key to supporting our operations by producing accurate, timely, and competitive tenders for new build roofing projects.. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing project costs, preparing accurate estimates, and quotations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and strong organisational skills to contribute to our company's growth and success. The Estimator will play a vital role in ensuring cost control and project feasibility, working closely with various departments to deliver precise and competitive bids.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal branch heads to gather accurate pricing information.
  • Develop comprehensive quotes that reflect labour, materials, equipment, and overhead costs.
  • Assist in identifying potential cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety standards.
  • Prepare and present detailed estimates to management for review and approval.
  • Maintain organised records of all estimates, pricing data, and related documentation for future reference.
  • Support the development of proposals by providing clear, accurate cost analysis aligned with client requirements.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in estimating within the roofing sector.
  • Strong understanding of cost control principles and techniques.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with suppliers, clients, and internal teams.
  • A recognised qualification or background in construction, or related fields is essential. This position offers a dynamic environment where precision and strategic thinking are valued.
