This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working collaboratively, thrives in a caring environment, and wants to continue building a fulfilling career in Early Years.
What You’ll Be Doing
As an Early Years Practitioner, you will play an integral role in supporting children’s learning and development. You will:
- Plan and deliver engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment for children from birth to five years.
- Observe, assess, and record children’s progress to support individual learning journeys.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Support daily routines including meals, personal care, play, and rest times.
- Maintain excellent standards of safeguarding, health, safety, and hygiene.
- Work as part of a supportive team and provide guidance to apprentices or trainees where appropriate.
What We’re Looking For
- A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or equivalent.
- A minimum of 2 years experience working within an Early Years setting.
- A caring, enthusiastic, and professional approach to childcare.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s wellbeing.
- A positive attitude with a willingness to develop professionally.
What We Offer
- Starting salary from £12.80 per hour, with progression based on experience and performance.
- Welcome bonus of up to £500 available for the right candidate following successful completion of probation. Terms apply.
- Significant savings on your own childcare, with full details available during the recruitment process.
- A supportive, friendly team within a long-established nursery renowned for quality care.
- A big perks and benefits package, including training opportunities and professional development.
- Paid holiday entitlement.
- Employer pension scheme.
- Strong opportunities for long-term career progression.
If you are an experienced practitioner looking to work in a nurturing, professional setting where your skills are respected and your development is encouraged, we would love to hear from you.
Please note that we are based in a semi-rural location. While this provides extensive outdoor grounds that enhance our learning environment, public transport in the area is limited. Applicants should therefore be able to travel to the nursery independently, with access primarily by car.
Apply now to join Kids at Heart (Nidderdale Nursery) in Knaresborough and play a key role in shaping young children’s learning journeys.
