Overview
We are seeking an engaging client-focused Sales Associate to join our flock at our Flagsheep boutique. The ideal candidate will possess excellent clientelling and storytelling skills with a thirst for sales, passion for delivering exceptional service and alignment of our mission: Carbon negativity, total transparency, love of natural fibres and suplort8ng regenerative farming. This role offers an engaging environment where you can develop your sales skills and contribute to the success of our organisation.

Duties

  • Welcome clients warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs
  • Provide detailed product information about the product and our mission, demonstrate features of the product and store
  • Upsell additional items to maximise sales opportunities whilst focusing on client experience
  • Maintain organised merchandising displays aligned with company standards
  • Handle customer enquiries and repairs
  • Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
  • Manage stock levels, restock shelves, and assist with inventory checks
  • Support in organising promotional events and seasonal displays
  • Ensure the sales floor remains clean, tidy, and welcoming at all times

Requirements

  • Fluency in English; proficiency in other languages is advantageous
  • Strong communication, storytelling, problem solving and clientelling skills
  • Organised with excellent time management to handle multiple tasks efficiently
  • Basic maths skills for handling transactions and stock counts
  • Knowledge of merchandising principles and sales techniques including upselling strategies
  • Good email etiquette and professional demeanour when interacting with customers over the phone or face-to-face
  • Organisational skills to maintain neat displays and manage stock levels effectively
  • Previous retail or sales experience is preferred
