Overview

To develop and manage sales of livestock feed and related agricultural products to farm customers and agricultural businesses. The role will focus primarily on office-based sales activity, maintaining existing customer relationships, developing new business opportunities, and supporting the continued growth of the company’s agricultural customer base.

Duties

Sales and Customer Development

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with livestock farmers and agricultural businesses
  • Conduct regular outbound sales activity to generate new business and maintain contact with existing customers
  • Identify customer requirements and provide appropriate product recommendations
  • Prepare quotations and follow up sales opportunities to maximise conversion of enquiries into orders

Product Sales

  • Promote and sell the company’s liquid feed, agronomy and other agricultural products
  • Develop sales of feed straights and other agricultural products where appropriate
  • Identify opportunities to introduce new products or expand the range offered to customers

Customer Management

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records within the company’s CRM system
  • Process orders and manage debtors for own ledger
  • Monitor customer purchasing patterns and identity opportunities for further sales
  • Ensure a consistently high level of customer service and support

Requirements for the role:

  • Must have strong experience in sales, preferably with agricultural sales experience
  • Must be a team player with drive to succeed
  • Required to hold full driving license with flexibility to attend sales meetings / exhibitions as required

Salary - dependent on experience

Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
