Derwen College is a specialist further education college supporting young people with special educational needs and disabilities. We are looking to appoint a well-organised and motivated Administrator to join our Admin Team and Admissions Department.

The Role

This is a varied and rewarding administrative role supporting both the wider admin team and the college’s admissions process. You will play an important part in ensuring accurate records, effective communication, and a positive experience for prospective students, families, and professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing administrative support to the Admin Team and Admissions Department
  • Supporting the admissions process, including handling enquiries and maintaining accurate student records
  • Liaising with parents/carers, local authorities, and external professionals
  • Managing documentation, correspondence, and data entry with a high level of accuracy
  • Supporting meetings, including scheduling and minute-taking where required
  • Ensuring confidentiality and data protection requirements are maintained at all times

About You

  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively
  • Attention to detail and a professional, approachable manner
  • Previous administrative experience is desirable, but not essential
  • Hold a UK driving license
