Job: Catering Assistant

Pay: £12.71 per hour

Hours Per Week: 30 hours per week, Mon-Fri 11.00am-7.00pm/9am-3.00pm with weekends on a rota, (35 weeks plus 3 weeks summer school in August)

Work Location area: Bruton, BA10 0DF

Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Catering Assistant to work within our Education Sector in a Local Boarding School in the BA10 area of Bruton.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Help to keep the kitchen and food areas clean and tidy, ensuring food and supply items are stored correctly.
  • Assist with the preparation of food.
  • Must be highly reliable
  • Good team player
  • Hard working
  • Ability to follow instructions

Brief description of role: working in a state day and boarding school cooking for staff and students over 7 days, lunch and evening meal

This role is term time only but includes additional days in August for Summer school.

Uniform and training will be provided.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and/or vulnerable adults. All appointments are subject to appropriate safeguarding checks, including DBS clearance.
