Technical Inclusion Support Worker (to support student learning)

UTC Leeds, Sayner Road, Leeds, LS10 1LA.

Pay Scale: SCP 18 – 22 (£31,537 per annum - £33,699 per annum FTE)

Actual Salary: £27,577 - £29,468 per annum

Hours: 37 Hours per week TTO plus 3 days.

Contract: Permanent

Start date: 1st September 2026

Can you motivate students to achieve their best? Are you passionate about instilling a ‘Growth Mindset’ and nurturing students to see challenges as opportunities to flourish? If so, we’d love to hear from you.

Overview:

To take the lead role in managing the assessment and intervention of students under the direction of the SENDCo in order to promote the learning and welfare of vulnerable students and those who experience barriers to learning. To work with students with EHCPs, SEMH needs and any other pastoral circumstances that curbs a student’s ability to maximise achievement. The role includes providing targeted support for students within practical learning environments, particularly engineering / Design & Technology (D&T) workshops, ensuring students can safely access and engage in hands-on learning activities. You will communicate with internal staff at all levels, with parents/carers, governors, and external agencies including alternative curriculum providers.

In return, you will enjoy access to high quality CPD. You will also be joining a happy Trust where 95% of colleagues agreed that they enjoy working here and 92% would recommend us to a friend or colleague. Our commitment to staff wellbeing means we prioritise staff mental health, drive down unnecessary workload and support our colleagues to progress in their careers.

This role provides a real opportunity for you to make your mark, and as a growing Trust with an excellent reputation, there are always opportunities for career development.

Want to know more? We welcome you to come and visit the academy. Please contact Emma McMahon, PA to the Principal emcmahon@utcleeds.co.uk to book a visit.

Closing date: Wednesday 1st July 2026

Interview date: Monday 6th July 2026

The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, volunteers, contractors and visitors to share this commitment.
