Full job description

The Role
We’re looking for a Deputy Control Room Manager to support the day-to-day operation of our Remote Monitoring Station. Acting as second in command, you’ll supervise and support operators, manage incidents and escalations, and help maintain high operational and customer service standards in line with British Standards, ISO, and company procedures. You’ll also support training, auditing, reporting, and deputise for the Control Room Manager when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise live alarm and CCTV monitoring operations
  • Act as an escalation point during incidents and system issues
  • Support and lead Monitoring Operators during shifts
  • Ensure accurate incident logging and compliance with procedures
  • Oversee customer communications and SLA delivery
  • Support training, audits, and continuous improvement

About You
Essential:

  • Experience leading teams in a fast-paced or operational environment
  • Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in customer-facing roles and incident handling
  • Confident using Microsoft Office

Desirable:

  • Experience in security, monitoring, or regulated environments
  • Knowledge of CCTV, alarms, or monitoring platforms
  • Leadership or management qualification

Qualifications

  • Essential: SIA Licence
  • Preferred: CCTV (PSS) Licence, ILM Level 3, H&S or First Aid

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From £25,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 30 per week

Work Location: In person
