Full job description

General Catering Assistant required, working 17 hours per week working the following:

Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: 8.30 a.m. to 2.30 p.m.

These hours are inclusive of a 30 minute unpaid meal-break per day. This means paid hours are 15.5 per week. Additional hours will be available to cover holidays, absences etc as required.

A general assistant position has arisen within Celtic Catering to work under the supervision of the Chef Manager to assist and carry out any instructions given in the preparation, cooking and serving of food, barista duties, cleaning processes and handling of cash, vegetable prep, preparing sandwiches and cold salad buffet and general assistance in the kitchen, this role is customer facing, so patience and good customer service skills are essential. the candidate will be working within a small team.

Possession of a current Food Safety Level 2 would be an advantage. The candidate should be willing to undertake any training considered necessary for the post. Catering experience is preferred with the ability to assist in all areas of the kitchen to achieve the required standards. the applicant must have an approachable manner with commitment and teamwork towards the service.

Duties will include helping with the preparation and serving of the breakfast and lunch service within a staff canteen, keeping the kitchen clean and tidy, serving customers, complying with food safety legislation and all other associated tasks as required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £9,841.26 per year
