Calling Strange Fish of Talent Management!

We are looking for you, a Talent Acquisition Manager of unique flavour, a mix of ability, vision and energy.

Are you?

  • Confident managing high-volume recruitment across multiple locations?
  • A skilled resourcer who knows where talent swims and how to reach it?
  • A natural relationship builder who connects easily with people at every level?
  • Organised, proactive and driven? — you make things happen in a fast-paced environment of excellence?
  • Passionate about culture, inclusion and creating an exceptional candidate experience?
  • Culturally curious and eager to explore our Danish and Japanese roots?

Then keep reading.

What you’ll be doing at Sticks ’n’ Sushi

  • Design and implement UK hiring strategies that embody our culture, values, and commitment to exceptional service.
  • Build and nurture external talent pipelines through proactive sourcing, headhunting, referrals, and strategic agency partnerships.
  • Strengthen internal talent pipelines by fostering relationships and maintaining ongoing communication with high-potential fish.
  • Partner with business leaders to understand priorities, team dynamics, and future workforce requirements.
  • Collaborate with our Marketing team to enhance our employer brand across LinkedIn, job boards, and the careers site.
  • Deliver an outstanding candidate experience from initial contact through to offer acceptance.
  • Support onboarding initiatives that drive early engagement and long-term retention.
  • Leverage data and insights to monitor recruitment performance, identify trends, and continuously improve processes.
  • Own and optimise our Applicant Tracking System to ensure accurate usage and ongoing development.

What you’ll bring to us

  • You have a track record of excellence from previous recruitment roles, ideally in hospitality.
  • You have the adaptability of water, staying flexible and quickly responding to challenges and changes.
  • You are a decision-maker, problem-solver and someone who keeps the good energy flowing.
  • You will add your own thing to our wider People team.
  • Above all you are the fiery spark that ignites our finding talent to be truly special

How we will support your journey with us

We want you to grow with us, so through our approach to Lead ‘n’ Learning, you can keep developing your skills and challenge your responsibilities (and your healthy risk-taking). Our training is structured to both help you shine and create memories, in your role and beyond.

The good things that go beyond the day to day

Yes, we work hard. But we also laugh, learn, and enjoy the ride. We want all our Strange Fish to be part of building something meaningful and to feel involved in making Sticks ‘n’ Sushi a little bit better every day. A place where everyone belongs and is represented.

You’ll enjoy...

  • The opportunity to deeply immerse yourself in our Danish ’n’ Japanese roots and rituals, and for six lucky Fish each year, we offer a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Japan.
  • 50% discount across all our restaurants, everywhere (yes – and drinks.)
  • Generous referral bonus schemes.
  • Private Health Insurance
  • Employee assistance and wellbeing support.
  • Financial wellbeing support.
  • Employee discounts – retail and high street.
  • Team events, unforgettable staff parties & annual awards.
