Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Mini Cab Controller to oversee and coordinate the scheduling and dispatch of mini cab services. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring efficient transportation management, maintaining smooth communication with drivers and clients, and optimising operational workflows. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong logistics, data entry, and communication skills to contribute to a dynamic transportation environment.

Duties

  • Manage and utilise transportation management systems to schedule and dispatch mini cabs effectively.
  • Coordinate with drivers, clients, and third-party logistics providers (3PL) to ensure timely service delivery.
  • Monitor real-time vehicle movements and adjust schedules as necessary to meet customer demands.
  • Maintain accurate records of bookings, driver availability, and service logs through data entry on platforms such as AS400 and SyteLine.
  • Analyse operational data to identify areas for process improvement and optimise routing efficiency.
  • Oversee shipping & receiving processes related to vehicle maintenance supplies or equipment as required.
  • Communicate clearly with drivers and clients via phone etiquette, ensuring professional interactions at all times.
  • Utilise analysis skills to generate reports on service performance and operational metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations during all dispatch activities.

Skills

  • Proficiency in transportation management systems, including AS400 and SyteLine software.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain logistics, including third-party logistics (3PL) coordination.
  • Excellent analysis skills for interpreting operational data and making informed decisions.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on professional phone etiquette.
  • Competent data entry skills with high accuracy in typing speed.
  • Experience in shipping & receiving procedures is advantageous.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a fast-paced environment.
  • Organised approach to workload management with attention to detail in scheduling and record keeping.
