Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced carpenter and Multi-Skilled Tradesperson to join our growing property maintenance team. Operating across Kent and East Sussex, the successful candidate will carry out a wide range of reactive and planned maintenance tasks on residential and commercial properties, including works related to block management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting general maintenance, repairs, and small refurbishments across a portfolio of properties.
  • Repairing and installing fire-doors, door-frames, skirting etc.
  • Attending to reactive repairs, both emergency and scheduled
  • Carrying out planned maintenance tasks including decorating, minor plumbing, carpentry, tiling, plastering, flooring, and general building repairs.
  • Performing block management works including communal area maintenance, external repairs, minor/major roofing work, and drainage issues.
  • Reporting findings and completion of works .
  • Ensuring all works are completed in compliance with health & safety regulations and company standards.
  • Communicating effectively with property managers, tenants, and contractors.
  • Representing the company in a professional manner at all times.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in a multi-trade role, ideally within property or block maintenance.
  • 2 Years experience in carpentry.
  • Competence in at least two core trades, such as plumbing, plastering, tiling, painting & decorating, or basic electrical work.
  • Ability to diagnose and solve maintenance issues independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality workmanship.
  • Full UK driving licence (Essential).
  • Good communication and time management skills.
  • Basic IT proficiency (for job reporting and communication).

Desirable:

  • Relevant qualifications or certifications in one or more trades.
  • Previous experience working with residential letting agents, housing associations, or property management companies.
  • Awareness of H&S regulations and risk assessments.
