Are you an experienced Site Manager looking for your next challenge?

We're recruiting for a proactive and experienced Construction Site Manager to deliver a diverse portfolio of projects across the Defence, Data Centre and Energy sectors. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established specialist contractor delivering projects ranging from small refurbishments and fit-outs through to new build developments valued up to £10 million.

This role offers genuine variety, long-term career progression, and the opportunity to work on technically challenging projects where quality, safety and client relationships are paramount.

The Role

As Site Manager, you'll take responsibility for the successful day-to-day delivery of construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Working closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors and the wider project team, you'll coordinate site operations from mobilisation through to handover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage construction projects from start to completion.
  • Lead and coordinate subcontractors and site teams.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
  • Maintain the highest standards of health & safety and site compliance.
  • Deliver quality inspections and manage snagging and defect resolution.
  • Produce and maintain site documentation including daily diaries, RAMS, quality records and as-built information.
  • Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
  • Coordinate materials, deliveries and logistics.
  • Monitor project progress and produce short-term programmes.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants and specialist subcontractors.
  • Ensure excellent housekeeping and company standards are maintained on site.
  • Support and mentor junior members of the construction team.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for an experienced Site Manager who has successfully delivered construction projects across sectors such as commercial, industrial, defence, infrastructure or data centres.

You'll ideally have:

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager within the construction industry.
  • Experience delivering refurbishment, fit-out and new build projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods and building regulations.
  • Excellent health & safety knowledge.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and multiple trades.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Good IT skills including construction software and reporting.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Essential Qualifications

  • SMSTS
  • CSCS Card
  • RAMS experience
  • Construction-related qualification (ONC/HNC or equivalent)

Desirable

  • First Aid at Work
  • Temporary Works Coordinator/Supervisor
  • Fire Marshal
  • CIOB, RICS or other professional membership

Security Clearance

Due to the nature of the projects, successful applicants must have the right to work in the UK and be able to obtain the appropriate UK Government Security Clearance following pre-employment screening.
