Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing assistance and guidance to children in various settings, including educational environments and activities. This position requires a strong commitment to fostering positive relationships with children and supporting their development through engaging activities and effective behavior management strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Assist children with daily activities and routines, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Provide individualized support to young people with varying needs, utilizing strategies tailored to their unique requirements.
  • Facilitate recreational activities such as sports coaching, theater, or arts and crafts to enhance social skills and creativity.
  • Maintain open communication with manager, social worker, parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns that may arise.
  • Utilize first aid knowledge when necessary to ensure the health and safety of all children in your care.
  • Support behavior management initiatives, helping children develop self-regulation skills and positive behaviors.

Experience
Candidates should possess experience working with children in various capacities, including but not limited to:

  • Experience of children's residential care setting
  • Experience of trauma informed practice
  • Familiarity with childhood development principles and behavior management techniques
