Role Title: Internal Sales Executive

Reports to: Sales Team Leader

Location: PIPEKIT, Abella House, Longden Rd, Shrewsbury SY3 9PS

Role Purpose: This role is office based in Shrewsbury 5 days per week, you will be responsible for winning orders, meeting and exceeding sales team targets to maximise sales and margin.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactive approach to potential new customers and growth of existing customer base.
  • Using current company data/leads to grow sales and generate own leads.
  • Preparing quotations for customer project requirements
  • Offer guidance and advice to customers as well as sell the benefits of products offered by maintaining good product knowledge.
  • Follow up quotations and key account customers to win orders
  • Work with customer service advisor colleagues to offer sector leading customer support and service.
  • Work closely with suppliers to target specific customers

Key Capabilities:

  • Customer Focussed - Ability to deal with sales and technical enquiries from customers, external sources or from within the Company either by written form, personal contact, telephone, email and via the website to ensure that any queries are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Organised & Delivering Results- Confident in managing, organising, and updating relevant data using database applications to ensure meaningful data is available for use within the Company.
  • Technical - Utilise IT applications as and when appropriate to ensure the most efficient and effective means of communication or information is provided.

Essential qualifications and experience required for this role:

  • Proven telephone sales/sales track record, preferably with a technical background
  • Numerical and analytical skills
  • Computer skills including Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Attention to detail
  • Team player
  • Organised and focused on delivering results
  • Experience of sales position in a busy office environment
  • Evidence of a ‘self-starter’ who does not require close supervision, and uses own initiative
  • GCSE C or Level 2 in Maths, and English.

Desirable Qualifications and experience:

  • Experience in a construction products sales
  • Knowledge of CRM and order Processing software
