Permanent - January or early 2026 start
We are excited to be adding an inspirational Teacher of English to Prior Park School, Gibraltar to our team.
This is an opportunity to contribute to the development of a successful, dynamic and progressive English Faculty in beautiful and inspirational surroundings. The post is a full-time position and would suit a teacher with experience at Secondary level or a suitably qualified NQT.
The successful candidate will assist in the delivery of the GCSE and possibly A Level in English, in English, driving forward what has become a very popular and successful faculty. A willingness to contribute to the wider life of this successful day school is essential. In return we offer excellent working conditions with an attractive rewards package.
The school welcomes students aged 11 to 18 and provide a robust UK curriculum, including over 20 subjects at GCSE, A Level. Set in a stunning location, high up on the Rock and overlooking the Bay of Gibraltar, on the historic Scared Heart campus in the Old Town, offering a peaceful setting above the city noise. Prior Park School is a vibrant, caring community with an ambition as boundless as its view, established in 2016 to serve the families of Gibraltar and Southern Spain. Prior Park School is Gibraltar’s first and only independent, coeducational, Catholic/Christian day school. With a maximus capacity of 260 pupils and a staff-to-student ratio of 1:8, we ensure each child receives personalised attention. In our small, nurturing community, students are taught by subject specialists across all age groups, leading to outstanding outcomes year after year.
Prior Park Schools are a family of Christian schools comprising Prior Park College (Bath), The Paragon Junior School (Bath) and Prior Park School Gibraltar.
The Schools’ Mission is to steward a thriving family of communities with love for the young people they serve at their heart. These vibrant communities cultivate creativity, foster integrity, and transform lives.
The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Applicants must undergo child protection screening, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the school is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are “spent” unless they are “protected” under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.
Prior Park Schools is committed to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment where all individuals are respected, valued, and included. We actively encourage inclusive practices throughout our recruitment process and welcome applications from individuals who share these values.
