Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pastor/Evangelist Missionary (Minister of Religion) to serve our community through spiritual leadership, outreach, and pastoral care. The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding congregations, fostering spiritual growth, and engaging in various outreach programmes. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working within a supportive faith-based environment. The position is paid and suitable for individuals committed to their faith and community service.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver sermons, teachings, and religious services that inspire and educate congregations.
  • Provide pastoral care and counselling to individuals and families within the community.
  • Lead outreach programmes, including evangelism and missionary activities, to expand the church’s reach.
  • Organise and participate in community events, charity work, and fundraising initiatives.
  • Mentor and support members of the congregation, including youth groups and working with children.
  • Offer hospice care visits and support to those in need of spiritual comfort during difficult times.
  • Collaborate with church leadership on strategic planning, programme development, and community engagement efforts.
  • Foster leadership within the congregation through mentoring programmes and training sessions.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in teaching, leadership, and communication skills within a religious or community setting.
  • Strong ability to work with children and vulnerable groups with compassion and sensitivity.
  • Demonstrated mentoring skills with a focus on personal development and spiritual growth.
  • Experience in hospice care or providing emotional support during end-of-life situations is desirable.
  • Ability to organise fundraising activities effectively to support church initiatives.
  • A deep commitment to faith-based service with a genuine desire to serve others through ministry work.
  • Relevant theological training or ordination as recognised by your faith organisation is preferred but not mandatory. Pay: £1,950.00-£2,085.00 per month
