Drive the Future of Classic Car Motoring

Are you ready to turn data into horsepower? We are looking for the next generation of data talent to join the powerhouse of automotive heritage. By joining the MPG Classic Car Parts group at our Lincoln site, you aren’t just taking a job, you are plunging into the legacy of three of the most well-established and beloved brands in the industry: Moss, Rimmer Bros and SNG Barratt.

This is more than an entry level role; it is a launchpad. We are seeking a sharp, motivated Junior Power BI Analyst to help us harness the power of our data, drive business decisions, and add tangible value to the group from day one.

The Role: Where Data Meets Heritage

As a Junior Data Analyst, you will be the bridge between raw data and real world insights. You will collect, clean, and transform complex datasets into powerful, interactive dashboards that tell the story of our business. Working closely with senior analysts and cross functional teams, you will translate business needs into actionable intelligence, supporting the growth of iconic brands.

You won’t just be building reports; you will be building a career. You will gain hands-on experience in business intelligence (BI), data modelling, and architecture, helping to create scalable solutions that ensure data integrity across our entire group.

Your Mission, Should You Choose to Apply:

  • Collaborate & Understand: Work with team members to gather business requirements and identify key analytical needs.
  • Build & Design: Develop and maintain stunning, interactive Power BI reports and dashboards. Assist in designing semantic data models and defining KPI metrics that matter.
  • Analyse & interpret: Perform data analysis to summarise trends, conduct basic statistical assessments, and support senior analysts in uncovering deep insights.
  • Clean & Prepare: Gather data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and consistency. Clean, transform, and prepare data for robust reporting and analysis.
  • Support & innovate: Support ETL processes and data integration. Stay ahead of the curve by learning the latest Power BI features and industry best practices.
  • Govern & Secure: Support the implementation of data governance standards and security policies to maintain the highest data quality.

The Toolkit for Success

The essentials:

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, data analytics, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with Power BI Suite (Desktop, Power Query, Service).
  • Basic understanding of data modelling, SQL, and ETL processes.
  • A solid grasp of Excel (pivot tables, formulas) and a passion for data visualization.
  • An analytical mindset with sharp problem solving skills and an obsession with detail and data quality.
  • Great communication skills and a collaborative spirit.

The “Nice- to- Haves” that will make you stand out:

  • Familiarity with DAX for calculations.
  • Knowledge of Python or R.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (Like Microsoft Azure) or the Microsoft BI stack (SSAS, SSRS, SSIS).
  • Any internship or project experience building dashboards or working with BI tools.

Why Join Us?

This is your chance to put your mark on the future classic car preservation. You won’t just be a number in a large corporation; you’ll be a valued member of a specialist group where your insights directly influence strategy and growth.
