Full job description

Office & Operations Coordinator

Location: Colyton, East Devon (office-based)
Hours: Monday–Friday
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

About the role

We’re a busy, growing scaffolding company based in East Devon, looking for a reliable, organised person to take ownership of our day-to-day office and operational admin.

We’re not a corporate office — we’re a practical, hardworking team that values reliability, honesty, and doing things properly. This is a hands-on role where you’ll work closely with the owner and employees, helping keep the business running smoothly behind the scenes.

This role is office-based and suited to someone looking for a long-term position, rather than short-term or temporary work. Full training will be provided — attitude, organisation, and common sense matter more than previous industry experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Answering calls and emails from customers, suppliers, and site teams
  • Booking jobs into the diary and coordinating schedules
  • Preparing basic paperwork (quotes, job info, inspections, records)
  • Liaising with scaffold teams and checking job details are in place
  • Keeping records organised and up to date
  • Assisting with invoicing, timesheets, and general admin
  • Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the business

About you

  • Organised, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks
  • Confident speaking to customers on the phone
  • Comfortable using computers and learning new systems
  • Calm under pressure and able to use initiative
  • Happy working in a small business environment
  • Local to the area and able to work office-based

Previous office experience is helpful but not essential — we’re far more interested in the right person with the right attitude.

What we offer

  • Stable, long-term role in a growing local business
  • Full training and support
  • Real responsibility and the chance to grow with the company
  • Friendly, straightforward working environment
  • Competitive pay based on experience and ability

How to apply

Please apply with a short CV and a brief note about yourself and why you’re interested in the role.
